Something Abington Residents Should Know
-
where the "work" is
done on the issues in our Township
While most issues of government are approved at the Full Board
of Commissioners Meetings held monthly, (generally on the
1st Thursday) , the work on any of
these issues is most often delegated to a Committee or
Council. It is in these meetings that the discussions are held
and the input by citizens is most effective. The Committee or
Council then makes its recommendations to the full Board of Commissioners
who exercise final approvals.
Because this is the process, citizens have been trying to get
the Township "WORKING meetings" all filmed and aired on Comcast
Channel 43, our Public Access, Government and Education Channel.
Those who are interested in joining this effort, or learning
more about it should click on
Channel 43.
As of 3-11 Some meetings are there - but many are not
that would be more than helpful in keeping residents informed.

Abington Township, with John Spiegelman in charge, revamped the entire Township website at the end of 2015
and broke all the links to the information we had archived on this site for you.
In 2017, Manager Richard Manfredi arrived and assigned someone not qualified to redo the entire website again.
They not only broke all archived links we had reinstated, but made everything as impossible to find as they could.
Nearly all of our comments and recommedations to fix the Township website have been wholly ignored.
So we do need volunteers to work together helping the Township create a site that is functional and accessible.
We will be reinstating links as we find them....if the data is still available.
So... please let us know if you find a broken link. Send us the URL of the link
and the name of the page it is on, and if we can, we'll reinstate it.
Thanks for the help.
