ANONYMOUS REPORTING
Does someone need help?
Do you need to protect your anonymity, but still let someone
know ?
WHAT TO DO
You may write to me anonymously if you have a comment that you would like
to make or if there is something that you feel should be
reported. Mail something in an unmarked envelope to me
here: Lora Lehmann
1431 Bryant Lane Meadowbrook, Pa 19046
You may also call here anonymously by hitting *67 which will
block your caller ID .

You'd be surprized how many "Township doings" have
come to my attention that way. Thanks to those that have
sent .....
Or you can
get a separate email & screen
name - from yahoo or hotmail or gmail, for instance . Do not use
your real name or address to register that email and Contact Us
Then
send us the most information that you are able to about the person, incident, website
or situation to help me understand it . Also,
suggest what you feel
would be the best way to help. Do you think the
"authoritities should be notified? Do you think a kindness from
an anonymous stranger would help. If someone else is being intimidated and may be
scared, please let us know that, too. We will try to
help. And of course - you can feel free to anonymously
comment on this site, or our news or if you don't like the
sweater I was wearing at the last meeting.
WHAT KIND OF SITUATIONS
MIGHT
WARRANT GETTING HELP TO REPORT ANONYMOUSLY?
Neighbor
-against-neighbor issues: If your neighbor has a
giant truck parked illegally and you would like to report
it - but don't want to have bad relations with your
neighbors. If you have grass that is unmowed or
other code enforcement violations that you feel are not
being handled, but you don't want to be the bad guy....We will
find a way to discretely word it so it does not come back to
you.
Social networking websites : While clicking through the maze of links that join website to
website in the intricate personal world that these journaling,
self-exposure sites have become, you may come across a site that
is disturbing. Perhaps the writer is threatening others or
humiliating them, or perhaps you fear the writer is headed for
personal harm to himself. The question "What to do? " rarely has a good
answer because normally you know this person. And
while you know they need help or intervention, you also fear
that your personal intervention might make things worse - and
certainly wouldn't be good for a continued
relationship. We'll relay this to the authorities
Reports of abuse of any sort should be handled through
the police. If you have not done so because of something
standing in the way - tell me what that is and I'll relay it to
the proper authorities or see if I can help.
WHAT WE WILL DO
We will try to get either professional help
or intervention, if it is warranted, or will try to notify the
parents or other adults, if that is warranted. Any
suggestions that you have as to what you think would be the best
thing to do, would be welcome to have, as you may know things we
have no way of finding out.
Your privacy will be protected because of your
anonymous email address. If at all possible, please keep the
address active & check it periodically for a while , as we may
have other questions that you can be helpful with.
Thank you for caring about a friend. We
are not 100 % certain that we will be able to help, but we hope
this anonymous platform will give you a place to turn if you
have found no other.
Abington Township, with John Spiegelman in charge, revamped the entire Township website at the end of 2015
and broke all the links to the information we had archived on this site for you.
In 2017, Manager Richard Manfredi arrived and assigned someone not qualified to redo the entire website again.
They not only broke all archived links we had reinstated, but made everything as impossible to find as they could.
Nearly all of our comments and recommedations to fix the Township website have been wholly ignored.
So we do need volunteers to work together helping the Township create a site that is functional and accessible.
We will be reinstating links as we find them....if the data is still available.
So... please let us know if you find a broken link. Send us the URL of the link
and the name of the page it is on, and if we can, we'll reinstate it.
Thanks for the help.
