61 Units in Abington Twp with 19046 Jenkintown zip

The confusion is in the address --Is 70 Shady Lane part of 8400 Pine Rd? Is this is a separate 61 units - or all part of the 136 acres owned by the Medical Mission Sisters that is being developed as 549 units in 2021

2-11 - Sisters came before Board to ask for 61 units on what we think is about 19 acres zoned CS .

12-12 - Here is the 2012 approval to build 61 apartments is noted -- Right adjacent is the rest of the Medical Mission Sisters property on 8400 Pine Rd with a plan for a 549 unit project . Abington Township approved the 61 units 12-12 and then the Abington Code Enforcement and Land Development Committee approved the final land development application of Medical Mission Sisters for the construction of the 61 new units The apartments would be built as an addition to the organization's existing administration building. And the 59,400 square-foot, 4-story building would serve as housing for retired Catholic sisters as well as elderly low-income residents — the split would be about 60/40. The apartments were to be partially funded through a grant from the Philadelphia Housing Authority; conditions of the grant include income limits.

Abington Township, with John Spiegelman in charge, revamped the entire Township website at the end of 2015 and broke all the links to the information we had archived on this site for you. In 2017, Manager Richard Manfredi arrived and assigned someone not qualified to redo the entire website again. They not only broke all archived links we had reinstated, but made everything as impossible to find as they could. Nearly all of our comments and recommedations to fix the Township website have been wholly ignored.

So we do need volunteers to work together helping the Township create a site that is functional and accessible. We will be reinstating links as we find them....if the data is still available. So... please let us know if you find a broken link. Send us the URL of the link and the name of the page it is on, and if we can, we'll reinstate it.
