FUTURE LAND USE MAP
From the Vision 2035
Comprehensive Plan - First appeared 9-21 or 10-21 at the
Comprehensive Plan Meeting
Grey circles were originally set to allow
mixed residential uses 1/2 mi on and around commercial areas .
Now they have solid blue line circles that are 1/4 mile
radius - so they made that area smaller
Dotted line circles are Transit Oriented Districts (TOD's)
set to allow denser development 1/2 mi around trains ( and
apparently bus stations, too )

THAT should be overlaid on a
GIS map
the GIS maps are interactive – you can
enlarge it to see if you are inside or outside one of the circled
zones
https://abingtonpa.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/interactivelegend/index.html?appid=599f14516a1d40cbaa809e0d678a9a63
You can type in your address then - and you could see if you
were in a circle .
Why do you think they won't do that ? Who benefits
(developers? ) and who
loses (you?)

OR IT COULD BE
AN OVERLAY on OUR ZONING MAP
- in
order for homeowners to see if their parcel is inside a circle
Found on p353 here :

Well -- OK they DID do that - but so far I haven't found an
INTERACTIVE version.
I know residents aren't familiar with
these maps.

Ask your Commissioner to create the needed overlays on the
GIS
map to understand the Future Land Uses being proposed.
You can type your address in on that.
